I mentioned a mixed bag...
One frustration is that this is my first day taking Adderall and I have to stop taking it at least until Monday because I felt a little tightening in my chest and that's the kind of thing I'm supposed to call the doc about, but he wasn't there, so the doctor who was there (this is on the phone by the way) told me to stop taking it and to wait for a call from my doctor on Monday.
But I still have you, and I'm really honored that so many have contacted me in various ways.
I'm going to spend some time with Shannon. Hope you have a goodnight, and if the Lord wills, I'll see you in the morning.
Good job for day 1 Luke. Don't be too discouraged about the meds, it can take time to find the right dosage. But you'll get there. Really curious about the monster lesson plans. I'd love to be a fly on the wall for that class!
ReplyDeleteTake courage and know there's a small army of Hogans (well, two at least) looking out for you.
Hooray for Day 1 down! Theres a saying amoungst cancer patients, and it goes like this: "One day at a time". Just focus on the day ahead of you, and you'll be okay ^_^
ReplyDeleteOne thing that helped me through undergrad (I was not taking any medication then) was simply to drink coffee and do work somewhere other than home. My favorite places were: coffee shops (Nathan really liked that one by food lion), malls, libraries.... I did best with some commotion in the background. I also did well while listening to jazz, it's random enough that your mind doesn't become easily distracted by musical patterns.
ReplyDeleteHmmm Jazz you say?
