B-1: Begining again

Today is pretty straight forward: drive to Long Island.

I do need to use this space to figure out some of my priorities while I'm on break. It's been a lot of fun, and we're especially glad that Shannon got two snow days for a full week off from work, but I'm seeing more clearly that this should also be a productive period. It won't be if I don't identify the things that are important now that the things that are necessary are out of the way.

In addition, I don't want this blog to become boring.

Let me know if there is anything in particular I should be doing or should write about.

  1. It dones't matter if the blog is boring, it's not here to amuse us. Use the tool for its purpose. Also: it's okay to be unproductive over Christmas break provided you don't have leftover things that should ahve been done already hanging around. Enjoy your time do some home maintenence and plan your next semester. Speaking of next semester if you don't have night classes may I suggest a great way to spend a few hours each Wednesday evening?

  2. I agree with JB! Play and plan. Suggestions:
plan a fun day trip with Shannon
Connect with a friend you don't see much
Take a nephew, or two or three out for ice cream
Take on a home project (not too big but clean out a closet or something)
Read a helpful book (Nathan got a lot out of "I Told Me So: Self Deception and the Christian Life")
Read a fun book or novel

As for me, I will continue to feed little people, wipe poopy butts, and end wars.
